Sure, but I feel like another major difference is that TGAs are by A GUY. E3, who the fuck even knows who was in charge and making decisions, but Geoff is a face and name people know, meaning anything bad he does is way easier to draw a line for.

I'd think part of it is the fascist obsession with classical art forms and that the gatekeeping is about like, buying acrylic paints or something, but that doesn't mesh with "AI Art is true art, actually"

From what I can find, the relationship between amphibians and reptiles is actually quite contentious, but it is specifically known that reptiles and birds (sauropsida) are no more related to amphibians than mammals (synapsida) are (both groups are in amniota, amphibians are not).

I'm curious: As an American living in Canada do you do anything to still celebrate American Thanksgiving here, or do you only do Canadian Thanksgiving, or was it never really a big holiday for you to begin with?

Eh, depends. There's very little a developer can do to avoid power-users optimizing down like that. For the average player experience where people don't know what's good or inefficient, Elden Ring has more options than any other Souls game, which I imagine is what they were actually designing for.

Just need to recognize that the appeal varies from person-to-person. I love the worlds and the skill-checks, which is why I love ER for it's writing and Sekiro for it's gameplay, but NOT vice-versa. ER is clearly well-designed, it's design philosophy just isn't for ME specifically, and that's fine.

Honestly was one of my biggest frustrations with Elden Ring because I am very strictly one of those sickos. Also open world maps make my brain short-circuit, forcing me to search the entire map in a grid picking up every berry and flower on the map, I am NOT joking. 1/2

Need people to start making phylogenetic genre trees so we can see whether the evolutionary line of "Visual Novels -> Dating Sims" are truly related to "Text-Based Adventure -> Point and Click Adventure -> Telltale/Quantic Dream style Cinematic Story" games or if they're like reptiles and amphibians

Wish Belno would get more screentime between races. She felt almost like the perspective character during Kasamatsu, but ever since moving to Tracen she feels less present. Her undercover reporter bit was great, MORE BELNO PLEASE
