Please share this with anyone you know who still uses LiveJournal. It could collapse next week; it could last another two years. I think "next week" is probably too fast and "two years" is probably pushing it, a lot; that's my only prediction.

This was followed by years of back-and-forth legal battles as schools tried to allow Good Clubs™ but not Bad Clubs™

Those legal battles are STILL going on decades later

Then they would try to 'backdoor' the Good Clubs™ in as 'school related'. Or demand that there be a *sponsor* for the club who could be easily 'leaned on' to ensure no Bad Club™ could be formed .

And suddenly there were *NO* clubs.

At all.

Because they would rather prevent everyone from having clubs/student associations than allow **THOSE PEOPLE** to have one.

This was MEANT to allow Christian religious clubs to use public school resources

Then clubs that *were not* Christian religious clubs started using that same legal cover to get access

And suddenly it was a Bad Thing™

We can't have **THOSE PEOPLE** having clubs/student associations!!!!

Christians REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted to be able to have their religious organizations have *school sanctioned clubs and student associations*.

The courts said 'that is a violation of the Establishment Clause"

So legislatures stepped in with *broad* legal cover
