Perhaps we should suggest Trump take a "vacation" on the island of Elba.

Any Republicans who won't be swayed by Chris Murphy's well thought out speech outlining Trump's fascist moves are, at this point, beyond reason. youtu.be/-MTtkaJvANI?...

During college I left my home state of Utah to live and work in London for a summer. There I discovered a vegetarian Indian restaurant run by Hare Krishnas. Going from tuna noodle casseroles to eating Indian food for the first time was eye-opening. It was the best food I had ever tasted.

Here's an example that the best and brightest gravitate to cities. This "MAGA" sign has been appearing around LA. If you "lean" to the left, you see the truth. youtube.com/shorts/hY_Zv...

There are many factors that determine our expiration date—many are out of our control. I wish Dolly to be free of pain and discomfort. I hope she is able to enjoy what time remains in her amazing life, however long that time should be. Even an agnostic like myself, consider her a living saint.

Yes, Wells Fargo was a horrible company long before Trump's fascism. I heard consumer advocate, Clark Howard, declare on his podcast that Wells Fargo is a criminal enterprise masquerading as a bank. Remember, banks are beholden to shareholders, credit unions are beholden to their members.

Wells Fargo should not exist after they created millions of fake checking and savings accounts not even 10 years ago

The building is in a 27 million dollar foreclosure filed by Wells Fargo. The next day, Wells Fargo filed an emergency motion for receivership. The fascist regime kindly emptied the building for donor Wells Fargo.

Thanks for replying to me. I gladly accept your apology. Us resisters need to stick together. Now, if only more MAGA would own up to making a mistake. 😉

In 1933, German institutions had be broken before they'd comply. American institutions/corporations are volunteering their compliance, all to save their funding, quarterly returns and mergers. youtu.be/e9NnQt_eQ0I?...

How do you get millions of people to protest on the same day without advance planning? Most people can't just drop what they're doing to join a flash protest. Having it on a weekend increases attendance. Police presence increases safety. Large protests remind passersby that the shit has hit the fan.
fluffychikki.bsky.social
Our police force is at our large protests in case anti-protesters show up wanting to cause trouble. Safety monitors are vital, but are only there to guide, remind and de-escalate. The police need to be there for the real trouble. At the last protest, police had to stop a fist fight.
fluffychikki.bsky.social
Peaceful protests are about more than people showing up at a specific time and place. Registering for protests gives the organizers a sense of how many safety monitors they will need, what size of space they will need, whether they will need permits from the city, etc.

For my history degree, I specialized in Nazi Germany. What this woman is saying about differently-abled children is true. Remember, they don't need to wear a uniform to be a Nazi.

With over 60% of Americans living paycheck-to-paycheck, too many would be justly concerned about losing their jobs. Rolling strikes sounds like a better option, since it will likely get more people to participate. Even retirees and unemployed can help support rolling strikes.

We want to oust Trump because he's an evil fascist. Conservatives may want to oust him because his economic policies are ruining their family finances. We all agree Trump is terrible for the economy, so let's band together over that.
fluffychikki.bsky.social
There are "small" things ALL of us can do: boycott all large corporations, spread the word about the general strike, talk to conservatives about economic issues, attend local protests. We need to start what others are calling a Purple Revolution. Blue & Red banding together over economic inequality.
fluffychikki.bsky.social
That's enough people. Perhaps the organization of the General Strike might be more successful in different hands? The partners list seems very liberal. Perhaps large unions are too hesitant to join forces with "radical left" organizations? Just a thought. Or maybe they've never even been approached?

Once again, Trump is withholding federal funds until numerous universities agree to his "conservative compact." Governor Newsom has also warned that if any California universities capitulate, they will lose state funding. BOOYAH!! www.gov.ca.gov/2025/10/02/g...

The General Strike website says they've got 380,707 signed up, but they need 10,619,293 before the strike will be called. Their website doesn't mention counting union workers. There are too many who agree with the cause but not enough willing to "pay a price" for it to succeed.

I hear ya. Things haven't been right in a long time—if ever. The corruption was just better hidden. The problem is, our government, as well as our economy, is all "trickle down." The oligarchs created the rules in the first place, making just enough progressive changes to stave off a revolution.
