All the damn time. Granted, humanity in general makes me question so many things, but I had to read that post several times to make sure I was properly registering the...whatever the hell that was.

We never really recovered from the effects of hate generated from September 11th, 2001. Not on a national scale, anyway. Sad state of affairs that we can't seem to separate ourselves from "people as a monolith" idea.

Walsh is such a fool. GDP isn't how you measure average income for people in a nation. It's PCI, not effing GDP, but regardless, the massive inequity for incomes in the US skews the results. Having hundreds of billionaires will do that, and tall buildings have exactly zero to do with "excellence."

Silver lining: Texas is already gerrymandered to hell and back, so these maps may just backfire, anyway. Considering how fractured and disillusioned the slightly less insane GOP voters are, this can end leading to more competitive districts cause they're already stretched thin and angry voters.

I'm not sure where Patel ranks in the deadly farce that is Trump's second administration, such as it is. They're all terrible from the rotted fish head on down, but Patel's a special kind of lacking self-awareness that rivals Trump.
I'd call it an achievement, but I'm not going to reward stupidity.

Simple: We keep electing Republicans to office. The Democrats aren't great; at least they can clear the bar of being able to govern. Policies may work or not, but at least they know how to keep things from falling apart. We always elect a Democrat to clean up after GOP's trickle down, each time.
