So last week I've been learning more about shadows, things like ambient occlusion, edges, bounce light and I've been wanting to draw more painterly and using less cell shading and more soft shading, sort of implying the volumes without that many lines, I've uh... used the airbrush tool ... 1/2

Finished colouring the sketch, I spent a lot of time on this and even checked out a tutorial (you can check the link in alt tag) for the the water ripples. I love it how it turned out! I think this might be the prettiest thing I've drawn so far 🥹

So I tried a cute exercise where you literally rng scribble all over and then you draw over the shapes that you see, it's such a vibe! >w< that being said I have no clue what's going on in this scene, but it's rather cute >w<

So ... today after all this time I figured out that if I hold my stilus after making a line it will straighten it or let me move it around ... So I decided I wanted to go all out and omg the difference clean lines make! I'm genuinely scared to colour this sketch because I might ruin it

Getting rather close to an full year since I started learning to draw. Decided to show some from the hundreds of sketches and images that I made at various points of the journey (pain xD). And wow some are just ... wow. My inner demons casually jump scared me XD. Future me, this is where we started.
