how does the mostly barren and boring "open world" of oblivion still take up +120gb when remastered... the lack of size optimization these days is ridiculous.

microsoft could for once pull off a cool move and get id software to open up the new id tech versions to have something that kinda competes with unreal in terms of being AAA capable.

unreal 5 feels like epic is trying to push people towards blueprints even more than before, and generally making things a lot more complicated than they really have to be. UE4 seems streamlined by comparison.
