My happy place: Beside a clear stream in the forest with a dry tent and a small fire close by: The best place to clear the mind, cleanse the soul and watch curious forest creatures examine the strange 2-legger who has come to visit. I Block The Annoying.
Hey, wait a minute ... I drove (with a friend) from Vancouver, British Columbia to Phoenix, Arizona in that vehicle - and back again - in 1967 ... stopping only once in a desert somewhere, late at night, wondering why so much smoke was coming from the engine compartment.

It's mine, based on history

Unfortunately, his abhorrent political beliefs are directly connected to his reprehensible personality. It should be obvious to an idiot that he suffers from the mental illness called Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

But in 2025, a mentally ill person is apparently qualified to be President.

That's because he was rational. As a rational person, I live in dread of what awaits me in Trumplandia ... 😜
December 15, 2025 at 7:51 PM
It's the "subtly" part that many people miss. If the question is "Are we the bad guys?" (as per the OP) and we answer "Yes you are", that's not "subtle" at all. It's an attack and will likely strengthen resistance.
December 15, 2025 at 7:25 PM
Narcisstic Personality Disorder is a recognized mental illness. No, this is not an "excuse" for his deranged behavior. But it IS a clear reason why he should be removed from office under the 25th Amendment.

His supporters in congress are effectively endorsing a mentally ill person as president.

Don't jump to confusions.
Er, I mean conclusions.
Or, one of those.

Unless you work there you don't know if the State Dept will be an exception. That's the point of asking the question.

Ideologues never ask questions because they think they already "know" the answer. That's how the Trump Regime has been working since Day 1. Do you really want to be one of "them"?😕

I hope this doesn't surprise anyone who is familiar with Texas North.
December 15, 2025 at 4:59 PM
The headline indicates that an NYT opinion writer is asking an interesting question. And that's a bad thing ... why exactly?
December 15, 2025 at 4:56 PM
Pro Tip: Don't help your opponents by helping them answer a difficult question. Let them explore it, and some will arrive at the correct answer. That's the best way to convert heathens.

Huh. I thought it was against the law to post sexualized pictures of anyone over the age of 70. If not, there should be!
😱

The only immigrants the US will attract, for many years to come, are people who are fleeing for their lives. And they will be rejected.

Time for the US to adopt a mandatory "10 Child Policy" to offset the dwindling population ...

The "person of interest" being questioned about the Brown university shooting has been released and is no longer considered a suspect.

So ... let's wait until charges have been filed and evidence is revealed in this case too.

Settler: "I wonder why there's a lake here Bob?"
Bob: "Dunno. Let's drain it and plant crops!"
Nearby Indigenous People: 🙄🙄🙄

Oh, I see. Now we must all research and memorize every GOP political response so that we don't inadvertently align ourselves with the GOP? The GOP owns these things now?

ffs, "thoughts and prayers" don't belong to anybody.

Worse, Donald is a certified narcissist. He simply can't tolerate the idea that another person could be more popular and admired than him. With tributes pouring in for the Reiners, he simply couldn't resist the need to argue that HE is more popular and admired.

And I polished off a very good brunch ! We should form a Club of Winners. 🤪
December 14, 2025 at 7:32 PM
Of course he did. At the rate he's going, he'll be a Hall of Famer. Too bad the Canuckleheads took him for granted and used him as a bargaining chip. 😉

Yes, it's the right of very adult individual to go through a rudimentary risk assessment. And that includes whether I, or those in my company, are more, or less, at risk of apprehension at the border. Anybody who doesn't do that is an idiot.
December 14, 2025 at 7:23 PM
AND, he has to wear a dumb cowboy hat from 6 a.m. to midnight, PLUS he has to say things like "Aw, shucks!" and "Gol darn it!" a lot.

That'll teach 'im.

It has been in the news since the first story broke. No one is talking about it?? No, you failed to read about it.
December 14, 2025 at 6:40 PM
They are wisely using "person of interest" to avoid accusations of premature bias. Until all the evidence has been given to a prosecutor and charges are laid, it's the smart thing to do.

"It became unspeakable." - Stephen King, "Salem's Lot"

Referring, I'm sure, to what Trump would inflict upon the world.

The fact that other western governments aren't issuing statements to the media does not mean that they are silent.
