Amazing story. Years ago my grandma went through bankruptcy, and she was still getting credit card offers, and it never made sense to any of us. Suddenly this old family mystery has been solved!

Weird because I was watching an hour ago and it sure seemed like Dems were calling for recorded votes and making UC requests and using all kinds of procedural stalling tactics.

It's pretty telling that we have started to see actual "motions for administrative stay" from the government (and maybe other litigants, I dunno). A device that is supposed to be about the court's own docket management is now being invoked by parties, because they correctly perceive a benefit.

I believe the memo says dismissal is contingent on Adams making certain promises in writing. So it's possible the delay is on the Mayor's end.

The cases cited at fn5 suggest the court should at least point to some new development, or something that only became clear through briefing and argument. Here, there seems to be nothing more than pure disagreement with the motions panel, based upon a procedural posture that was clear all along.

As a kid I used to read my mom's People magazine and they straight-up dropped the spoilers into their review, basically to ruin it for the 3 people who hadn't heard yet, a group which included me. I am still mad about this.
