I made a custom visor shape for Zero's Code Geass helmet! The form is a 3D print that I modeled to be slightly smaller than the helmet hole (for the plastic thickness). I tinted the visor in heated polyester fabric dye.

I had so much fun figuring out the mechanism for my Fallout 4 Nuke Launcher! I was worried the mini nuke would end up getting "kicked" instead of "pushed" but it worked out great! #fallout

A few years ago, we restored a set of sleigh bells from Britt's family farm house. We had enough bells to make three door hanging sets for family presents!

We used a brass wire wheel to transfer brass back onto the heated surface and it worked great!

Back in 2018, Adam Savage needed a pair of visors for his ACES space suit costume for his NYCC incognito walk. Bill and Britt had never made visors this large, so it took a few attempts!

For the metallic finish on my Mandalorian helmet, I buffed on graphite powder! I protected the finish with a gloss clear coat and then used water-mixable oil paints to add some contrast.

Instead of cutting out individual scales for my dragon egg, I glued on strips of scales which gave the illusion they were attached one at a time! #foamsmith

For Steven Universe's Rose Quartz sword, I decided to use vinyl decals instead of paint! To prevent the stickers from peeling off, I sealed the whole prop in a catalyzed clear coat which locked the stickers in place and gave the sword an automotive shine! #StevenUniverse

For our #Satisfactory helmets, we purchased visors and then 3D modeled the helmet to fit around visors! To get the scale and shape correct, we used 3D scans (Polycam) of the visor, and my head, and made sure the imported scans were the same scale as the real world objects.
