Day 7: Behold onion. My dear friend @novusangellite.bsky.social has to deal with me shoving random things in his face to behold more often than he'd probably like #botober2025

So Sozerfrapple seemed a little difficult to understand, but I think I got it figured out
Unfortunately I don't know how to get it out of my kitchen now

Day 3 #botober2025: Crock Up
Since crock can mean both nonsense(the prompts) and a pot, we have to put the prompts in a pot, put it high UP and then never see them again. Unfortunately, the prompts are too powerful to be contained

Forgot to post here, I'm doing #botober2025. First 2 prompts, "Noodle juice" and "Pinetanbous Mold" (2 pictures)

Digital ID will only control people already following the law. It will leave various groups isolated and struggling. It will cost us and the goverment. And it absolutely can be abused. But hey. What do I know?

No. They'll half-think about an idea, decide it's great and then leave everyone to flounder and be vunerable with failing systems. It won't fix any "problems", if someone isn't checking if a person is allowed to work already, they aren't gonna check if they have ID. And it'll inevitably be hacked

That library is closed now anyway. Infrastructure and resources are vanishing and the goverment thinks that somehow, a fully online system is a great idea. Are they going to offer free smart phones to everyone? Free internet access so you can link up with the database? Someone to help you set up?

The council didn't care. They were just pushing their jobs onto volunteers like me. They didn't care that they were forcing people to give out sensitive information to a random volunteer. As long as they didn't have to deal with any of it

If I had been a bad actor, I would have had access to so much senstive information that I could of used. Forcing people to use a system, especially a technology based one, does not make them suddenly able to do these things. It makes them more vulnerable

More often than not, the person in question didn't even want to learn IT. They just wanted to have this form filled in for them. Multiple times I set up emails and verified them with my phone, because they didn't have smart phone. I knew passwords, full names, I scanned a passport with my phone

I used to volunteer at my local library to help with "teaching IT". Usually this would mean helping someone apply online for a benifit, bus pass, waste collection, leave to remain, basically council/goverment services that had been forced online or were near impossible to do offline

The announcement of plans for Digital ID in the UK being right next to a news story about a nursery being hacked and personal information about children being leaked is the sort of foreshadowing that you'd roll your eyes at for being way too obvious if you heard it in a story

We're just going backwards from "Women can do anything and are capable! They can look and dress how they want" to "Oh goodness we can't possibly be near or compete with men, we'd shatter to pieces. Also we can only look like stereotypes". It's maddening to see

As if the transphobia wasn't bad enough, this also is so misogynistic. A cis women with a hormone imbalance could be forced out of a single sex space because she has facial hair. How can they not see that they're just shooting themselves in the foot too?
