I hope that’s how they actually walked. We want a Dodo.

We had a fantastic event last night with the team from @nfsengland.bsky.social . A really engaged audience who asked some incisive questions.

Pictures coming soon.

In the meantime, we are back in the library today getting more sorted since our move so we can open for you all.

We would love to take this on, but unfortunately don’t have the space in our current premises. Unless anyone wants to fund us a bigger space :)

Hello, friends at @rammuseum.bsky.social

We have been donated an item which is not suitable for our collections, but is quite sensitive in nature. Could someone on your team with oversight of fashion and textiles please drop us an email, to [email protected] ?

Thanks :)

Making archival boxes:
Human🤝Machine

If you don't fancy watching a box being made for 90 seconds, I would look away now.

Our conservation team, and their big scary machine, make around 2000 boxes every year. They can be made to almost any size and dimension, and can be completely customised.

Dido the Archives Cat is being Very Helpful today.

She has decided to take the day off from being a furry trip hazard.

Pictur of a black and white 'tuxedo' cat lying on a black bean bag in such a way as to make her look like she has fewer than the usual feline allocation of feet.

These Bellarmines, of course, were much used as witch bottles. Any evidence that yours have that history?

You should have our Project Manager, @traceynormanauthor.bsky.social come and give you her Plants, Poultices and Persecution talk which is based around similar such documents. She knows how to do things with earthworms and young swallows that would keep you awake at night!
