one of the things that i love about being part of the gaylor community is that regardless if you like the album or not, it is so fun seeing theories and analysis that is engaging with the art rather than assuming that this song is about this certain person

the life of a showgirl does not feel like quintessential taylor album because it is a reflection of what the general public and swifties think of her. people did not understand the tortured poets department when it came out because they didn’t bother to look deeper into the lyrics
