But, it also misses a large part of the argument, which is that local governments place too many roadblock in the way of local governments and other govt arms to create needed improvements, such as the Cal-Train and more dormitories at State Universities.

Also, for at least 1980 election the age cohorts of the boomers also voted either slightly for Carter (45 to 44 percent in 18-21 year olds) or tied (44 percent for each in the 22-29 demo). Both Demos though voted more than 10% for Anderson.

The Catalist report shows that that isn’t really correct, the 65+ cohort, which nearly all of the Boomers are in voted for Harris/Walz at about 48% similar to what they did in 2020, it’s the 45-64s, mostly Gen X, who really turned out as Trumpers.

Correct. Cities in Virginia are completely separate legal entities from the County or Counties in which they are sited. They replicate all County services, and don’t have to share, so They have their own Constitutional Officers and Police and Board of Supervisors.

It’s like telling someone your age that Audie Murphy should inspire you, they are irrelevant to you. Maybe we need to try to meet boys where they are, and to do that we need to appeal to them with messages that appeal to not just the most virtuous of them.

Mr Rogers has been dead longer than teenage boys have been alive, and Anthony Boursin has been dead for more than half a decade. Sanders is 82, these may be people that boys can aspire to but they don’t speak to them and largely CANNOT.
