No, you simply forgot that Italy can't sustain a auto park of EV. Not cause "we don't like It". Cause in first istance we don't have the money to buy it. In second we can't change it. Our power generation can't keep the pace.
In 10 years from now It's unlikely to change.

If the rest of Europe work in a different way can adapt or turn the light off.
