It's Zvonimir Boban's birthday today.

His kick was said to have started the Yugoslav War.

This wasn't really the case. But it was a manifestation of the simmering ethnic and nationalist tensions which exploded following the Dinamo Zagreb-Red Star Belgrade riot that day.

'I've never been back. It's a Morrisons now but I'll never go.

To me it should still be Brockville, not a supermarket.'

- Kevin McAllister

Our stadiums are cultural spaces. They belong to us.

They deserve better than being replaced by soulless constructs like supermarkets and retail parks.

Goals from Jeremy Goss and Mark Bowen sealed a historic victory for Norwich in the UEFA Cup.

They would then take Bayern back to Carrow Road and valiantly hold them to a draw to advance.

Heady days for the Canaries.

Burnley supporters flood the field following 'The Orient Game', the match which confirmed their safety in the Football League.

The old Dens Park, September 1962.

The home of Dundee Football Club, photographed the season after they won the league and the season where they'd reach the semi-finals of the European Cup.

No wonder the crowds were so big.

Huge news for Cathkin Park!

One of football's most treasured heritage assets has been designated a Scheduled Monument by Historic Environment Scotland.

For a location as iconic as Cathkin Park to be recognised in this way is significant for preserving our football heritage.
