This is asinine. The job McDermott did with this roster - and other iterations of mediocrity - has been so impressive. He’s been given Josh Allen a bunch of C+ players with A- contracts. Beane can’t evaluate defensive line talent to save his life and doesn’t even try to evaluate WRs. Awful decision

A huge part of why they’ve been a sieve to big plays on the ground has been Bernard’s play.

… and largely, Buffalo hasn’t been able to. Receivers have no separation and Allen has to buy as much time as (super)humanly possible time after time to give them a chance to uncover.

I truly do appreciate advanced metrics like this for telling stories and normalizing the league against baselines, etc. BUT anyone who has watched any Bills football this year can tell you this offense is hands down the worst Bills O in Allen’s career and has ZERO receiving threats. It’s anemic.

What’s the passing/rushing split? They have perhaps the worst group of pass catchers in the NFL coupled with an offensive philosophy that’s literally designed to keep the ball out of Josh Allen’s hands.

That was a great play from an oftentimes bleak afternoon for this defense. They’re lucky they’ve played this poorly and still been able to win … hopefully it turns around and they can stop leaving massive parts of the field wide open. Nowhere to go but up though

It’s just stunning to me that he so plainly shows his profound stupidity and every single country on the planet can witness it yet we have friends and relatives who ALSO saw it - along with his bigotry and fascistic tendencies - and decided to vote for it. It makes us all look as pathetic as them.
