This in my estimation is missing the point somewhat. As others said, Americans only give a shit about evil if it inconveniences them. When things go to shit, the dems need to RELENTLESSLY hammer trump for it. Anything short of this will allow them to control the message.
“Trump is evil” is a true statement. It’s also not an effective argument. We tried it for a decade and it didn’t work. Our argument needs to be “Trump is senile.” It’s an argument that’ll actually turn people in the middle against him.

not to be a doomer but I was reading a thread somewhere where someone said doordash workers should unionize (which I agree with frankly) and most of the comments just said that was dumb. like not even logistically but that unions are stupid. truly makes me have less hope in this country

If one does not need to fight off the genuine threat of socialist revolt, one does not have to make concessions (as many social democracies in Europe have done to ward off the potential spread of anti-capitalism in their nations.)

Assisted dying - not intrinsically, but under a capitalist, ableist society - can never be safe and just because it will invariably be used to get rid of so-called "undesireables," the people who don't actively contribute to capital. See canada for an example.
