Legality of piracy varies from country to country, but piracy is usually illegal but rarely enforced.

And as you know, morals are subjective, hence why legality of it is what matters. It might be shady as I said, but nothing is universally moral or immoral. Your argument is many things are legal that is not moral, but that statement is subjective and hard to enforce.
