Per usual, our dickhead of a neighbour is setting off fireworks in the middle of the road, with cars parked all around him that could get damaged and homes that could be damaged if something goes awry. The poor local dogs. At least go down to the bloody oval and do it in the VAST OPENNESS.

So many people posting about how great 2025 was and I’m over here just flipping the bird at the year that has been, ready for it to FUCK RIGHT OFF. Started with the death of my grandma on day one of the damn year and that really just set the tone.

I got my first pair of Converse in about 2006. I was 16 years old. It was a black pair. It sounds silly, but I finally felt like I’d found a pair of shoes that made me feel like myself. Shortly thereafter, a red pair followed, and I proceeded to wear one red and one black shoe all the time.

I can hear an evacuation alarm. We live behind a bunch of factories / warehouses, looks like there’s a fire at Siemens in Bayswater (we live across the creek from them). Hope everyone is alright. Can’t see any smoke currently.

I’ve been in bed sick and throwing up for the last 15 hours so far and I’m finally feeling human enough to sit up. Chérie comes and goes but Amélie is my dedicated nursemaid and has been by my side all day ♥️ what did I do to deserve this angel in my life.

HOLY SHIT WE JUST GOT INTO COLLECTFEST. I had zero hopes of being accepted for next year, but we were. I’m very excited. We have two cons booked for next year so far.

13 years ago today I did my first ever market stall, as a bookbinder selling handmade books. This weekend marked 19 months of doing markets with Shane as a 3D printer - 59 markets worked just this year alone and another 6 over the next two weekends to wrap up the year. Absolutely massive.

When I say my kindle is the best item to come into my life this year, it genuinely is. I’m on a 130 day reading streak. I can read in bed again because I don’t need a light on so Shane can be asleep and I can read! It’s so small it can come with me everywhere. I absolutely love this thing.

Y’know what I recommend? Don’t have a massive go at a SMALL business owner at a damn craft market because the stall is busy and some kid put a $10 clicker in the $5 clicker box. I checked them five minutes prior. If you have an issue with the price you can LITERALLY just ✨not buy it✨

Y’know what I recommend? Don’t have a massive go at a SMALL business owner at a damn craft market because the stall is busy and some kid put a $10 clicker in the $5 clicker box. I checked them five minutes prior. If you have an issue with the price you can LITERALLY just ✨not buy it✨

Highlight of my day! Love Spotify wrapped day. I’m surprised by my top artist this year! I thought it would be Septicflesh. Slipknot must be up there because I played them a lot before seeing them at Knotfest with Shane. Also surprised that Samyra song is my top track second year running 😂

Was playing Gojira - Amazonia and someone said the music was ‘offensive’. I was like … ‘this is a song about saving the Amazon rainforest, because of its massive cultural and ecological significance … do you find saving the Amazon offensive?’ The music is not for everyone but it is not OFFENSIVE.

Haven’t given Chérie insulin for more than a whole WEEK. Glucose readings have been high but not alarming, steadily fluctuating. Finally tonight she’d been consistently high enough we gave her ONE unit of insulin (not four). Have had to give her honey TWICE because she’s dropped under 3 … wtf man.

5 weekends until Christmas. One weekend day off between now and then. 11 markets booked in over those 9 remaining days. One of those days we are doing THREE MARKETS. Good lord, send help :’) (it’s my fault, I’m to blame lol)

I have had an antihistamine, dymista nasal spray, a second (different) antihistamine and Nurofen cold and flu tablets with decongestant. My allergies have not abated ONE SINGLE BIT. Help 😭
