I like cookies and rainy days. Oh, and democracy. Democracy is pretty good.
CA I love you. 💙

You all need to take lessons from Gov. Newsom. He is fearlessly and aggressively standing up to Trump. You all have long been criticized for not doing enough - but now you have a playbook. Get tough and fight!

Constitution experts, please weigh in. I’m seeing calls for impeachment, but impeachment seems to be totally ineffective. I know it would be next to impossible, but what about trying to remove him?

@5calls.org Question for you. When I call, is it appropriate or even effective to ask my reps (CA dems) to rally other dems to vote the right way? My reps are usually on the right side of the issues, and I want them to pressure others to do the same. But I’m not sure if that’s even a thing. Tk u!

So, the Pope, but not the orange guy? SAD!

McKay did the right thing about that kid with the list. Dr. Robby is pissing me off.

The visceral hate I have for every Trump voter.

I’m watching Happy Face. Just once I’d like to see a show where the male partner of the woman protagonist supports her when she steps back from family life to, I don’t know, save someone’s life. I’ve been watching this shitty-dude pattern since Erin Brockovich.

Some viewers love the part in The Pitt (S1, E12) when McKay’s ex husband sees the chaos and is astonished. These viewers think he’s realizing how hard she works and how amazing she is. *I* am worried he will use her job against her in a custody battle. #thepitt

Someday, we will get the good news. I imagine how that will feel and I hold onto that.

New horror movie idea: Dude, where’s my Dems?

Is it just me, or is Trump not firing someone every 40 seconds this time around? I’m eager for the falling out with Musk.

I like to know what’s going on, but I have to be honest. I struggle with legal headlines: “A circuit judge has blocked the lower court’s reversal of an injunction against a law that set to reverse the company’s practice going against consumer protection laws.” So much reversing!

Has Jenny McCarthy ever been held to account for basically starting this anti vax bullshit?

#walgreens I just walked into your store, ready to spend a decent amount of money there. Every item I needed was locked up, and I walked right out.

If government officials and the “president” are going to be corrupt, can they please just do it in the right direction? Like, bow down to big climate action lobbyists or big we feed kids or big we love immigrants.
Fuck, man.

It’s a small thing, but today I bought two things from Lowe’s that I have always purchased from Amazon and Target in the past.

Feel good shows for times of despair, Sociologist edition:
🔵 Abbott Elementary: primarily Black cast. Perfect show in every way.

🔵Parks and Recreation: Feminist, government commentary. (Does have some problematic themes.)

🔵 Schitt’s Creek: LGBTQ+, family, friendship.

Trump’s extreme manipulation re: the TikTok ban is egregious. I’m worried about how many people are going to fall for his lies and gaslighting. He is setting up his next 4 (if he stops at 4) years of extreme mental games with everyone in the U.S and outside of it. I hate that man.

Last year it snowed in parts of Los Angeles and we had record rainfall. Now it is bone dry and windy like I’ve never, ever seen. I’m heartbroken for everyone who has experienced losses in these fires.
