You just need to convince Americans to vote for and care about someone who would do the job well instead of making it a weird-ass popularity contest based on the public opinion(s) of the term that are vogue. And probably get rid of second terms so presidents stop wasting so much time on re-election

We usually showed up for Tekken 2, Soul Calibur, SF2, or Marvel vs. Capcom - I was Soul Calibur all the way though until one of us could finally afford a PS1. It was not me :( I grew up in Maine though, there were not a lot of arcades. Mostly pairs of machines in pizza places, you had to hope.

I had to explain to the kids I work with that sometimes you had to hang around an arcade for a few hours to NOT find someone to challenge... And they were all like why would you do that to yourself? ONLY ONE OPTION WAS AVAILABLE DAMN IT.

The older I get, the less it happens now. It happened to me a lot before I was a bartender though, and then my ~17 years doing that was A LOT. I do not miss that part.

Never called his son, or his work or anything, just went to the bank and rushed down to the Police office. The look of astonishment-into-fury as they figured it out was alarming but justified.

When I moved to MA I legitimately saw one of these schemes going sideways because the father who had been tricked into trying to bail his son out went to the police station by accident because he didn't follow the scammers instructions. All while waiting for someone to explain local statutes in 2016
