Seeing Athena, Willow, & Mercedes wrestle in the Tokyo Dome made me think of Sandy Parker, the first Black woman to be world champion, notably in Japan nearly 52 years ago. Most modern fans may never know her name but they’ll get to know the women she paved the way for. Legacy 🤎
