In elementary school, my teacher told my mother I was “unteachable.” I was behind in every subject, including reading. Then I found this one book in the school library and connected with it, reading it hundreds of times. I made a career in reading, writing, and editing.That’s what a book can do.

I feel one of the most important things I've learned through making this company and meeting so many amazing people, is that it's alright and widely acceptable to be happy for others that are also making content. How could I ever be happy if my friends aren't successful too? You guys rule! ❤️

A story:
Late December, (I wanna say 2021), we had booked an appearance at a local comic book store. 1.) The store manager had been up for several days, playing Spider-Man PS4. 2.) He forgot to make any mention or advertisement on his Facebook page. We had 4 sales in the 6 hours we were there. 😂

You will do readings where no one shows up. You will set up at events and sell no books. Rejection will show up in your inbox again and again. You will say “I wrote a book!” and folks will stay quiet or say “Cool!” and then not buy it. It’s all good. Part of the gig. KEEP AT IT.
