A snippet of writing: They refused to set foot in the demon-infested cesspool that was the Dark District, even though Rody seemed damned and determined to see what it had to offer. They would have to leave it be for now. Hopefully Rody would get through his teenaged rebellion soon; Ryo could only pray that his curiosity would be sated before he bore witness to something that damaged his developing brain beyond repair.

A small snippet of writing: The hybrid was held static, the other end of their rope bound to something unknown and keeping long arms pinned behind their back. Footsteps echoed like the ringing of bells in their ears- the only sound in an otherwise oppressive silence. Their own shuddering breaths remained shallow, slow, and quiet. The steps pulsed against the floor like a heartbeat, predatory in their approach. They circled the bound figure, then paused. Ryo snarled behind the restrictive accessory fastened around their head, able to practically feel the scorching trail of a stranger’s eyes raking over their mostly-bared form.

A short snippet of writing: Heavy lids blinked open, glassy orange eyes scanning the unfamiliar surroundings. The hybrid slowly sat upright, their torpid body protesting with a sour sort of queasiness settling into their digestive tract. They swallowed dryly and planted their hands against the down comforter with a pillowy thud. Ryo had to depend heavily on their weak arms for balance as they attempted to stand from the bed even with their head spinning.
