In 2024, HHS did 1,548 fraud investigations. The Medicaid Fraud Control Units of California and NYS, were responsible for 91% of the country's fiscal recoveries. Sounds like they're doing a pretty good job. Maybe take a look at Florida and Texas, who consistently rate high on HHS fraud.
