It could be that working with him is steady and local and she can be with her elderly partner. Also, ever see American Gothic? I'd forgotten she was in it--I remembered it as a Lucas Black/Gary Cole thing produced by Sam Raimi. But she clearly has a consistent role choice going back 30 years.

Pish. It's kind of a good party story. I mean now probably you'd have to give a short preamble explaining what the show was, but still. "Can you pass the crackers? Oh, btw, did you know I was on an episode of 7th Heaven?" I'd certainly be listening while cracker-passing.

I WAS JOKING ABOUT THE TV SHOW. Really? I had no idea you did TV. I'd've totally had a crush on you then I'm sure (but I would've never watched 7th Heaven even tho I also sorta had a crush on Catherine Hicks because of Star Trek IV. (I'll ignore the other actor who had a ST connection.)

I have to assume Paulson does as she pleases, and this is what she wants to do. She could even do more Broadway if she wanted--lord knows the critics love her--so maybe she just.... likes this stuff?

I said I'm sure she is terrible, and pointed out the worse video of her going after a journalist. This video--from Politico--isn't the proof of fire you think it is. Also, is she even the frontrunner?

Yes. And this video doesn't show anything that bad. I'm sure Katie Porter is terrible--and like I said, the video with her trying to bully a journalist is bad enough--but it's dumb to try to use this video as a gotcha. I assume half the bleep is because the staffer didn't want their name used.

I think it's a hit piece because this one is dumb. The one with the journalist was worse. It's also kinda like the Klobuchar pieces that ran around the time she was running for president but somehow more benign than 'I'll eat my salad with a comb'. At some point, we really need to see the fire.

She didn't treat her staff badly. She even let the staffer finish what she wanted to say and then told her to get out of the shot. She didn't, like, turn around and scream at her or anything. This is dumb.

This is just stupid. I get the other video--the one where she's trying to bully a reporter--is a bad look, but this one is kinda boring and it's looking like people are leaking shit selectively to fuck her on demeanor because they can't get her on, like, policy.

It's a brilliant shot. As a Twin Peaks nerd and an Amadeus fan, I loved the ep also had a Twin Peaks reunion with Michael J. Anderson as well as Vincent Schiavelli. Also, NPR ran a radio documentary about Gibson FL around that time, and I read 'Geek Love' so that ep was a whole THING for me.

Oh yeah. Also War of the Coprophages, which is one of my faves. Clyde Bruckman is probably my favorite, but Jose Chung's 'From Outer Space' is right up there.
