Asked if he was happy with his race, he says no, very disappointed, looks like he's carrying the weight of the world and moments away from crying.
I really hope not, but I'm convinced McLaren know he's either under fuelled, or on the cusp. He looks so worried.

McLaren pit wall looked resigned to fate and unhappy. Norris sat in that pink car increasing his lead over Piastri should look ecstatic, but instead he looked like he just lost the race and is putting on a brave face.
I think Norris' side of the garage are really worried he's getting disqualified

I know. The point of the consistent race numbers is it becomes their 'brand' on track that we recognise, more than just a technicality.
Lewis 44, Sainz 55, Max 33, George 63, lando 4... It's more than a number

Every time they cut to her in the broadcast I make a point of listening closely. Her insights are so valuable

If this was 'no-one else in my family wears huge diamond rings so I steal a handful' this would be worth worrying about. At a cafe you're entitled to a few sugars, you're just taking them home instead of using at the cafe.
You, nor anyone else need dedicate a single second of thought more to this

The point is we understand it. If you say 12 feet or 30lb or 2 miles, we both know what's being described.
To someone who only knows metric you might as well say you're 65 bats tall and weigh 1.5 potato sacks

Is this instead of the in build AI DJ who only ever wants to play me either music I've no interest in, or if playing music I do like, only ever goes to the same 5 songs?

Could they really not put the square lens behind a round hole to match the other 2? Looks more like a child's toy for fitting shapes than a phone someone would choose

Again, you're using bad logic. Land doesn't use measurements, people do. The UK happily uses imperial and metric, interchangeably. Which means for us in the UK we benefit from both. It also we can 'deal' with American things with no issue whatsoever, which comes up regularly in everyday life
October 6, 2025 at 5:25 AM
The logic is not, the larger the number the better. It's that if there are 2 systems known and in use, the optimal position is to know both well and intuitively.

The logic you're trying to use is saying that learning a system nobody else is using us somehow useful

I agree, mpl is something real, mpg might as well be miles per glove.
The problem is the very same reason why we use miles in the first place. We all know what it means. We know what a good and bad mpg is. Nobody would know what a good mpl was. And it's too late to change now, were going electric

Yes, embarrassing often. But not for the reason you suggested.

Claiming it's embarrassing to comfortably use and switch between 2 forms of measurement is like someone who only speaks 1 language laughing at someone who can speak 2.

Doesn't look all that new to me

I love it. It looks we aren't looking at a 'thing', we are watching a moment.

It's ok, he can go home and watch an uplifting series on Netflix, and not have to watch the credits 😊

I've always thought it was weird that we used to be forced to see a list of everyone involved, no matter how sleight the role, in a product. You don't get that when you buy a chocolate bar...the wrapper's 3m long because they want you to know it was Barry who lifted the coca off the truck.

Good luck finding an app in under 30 seconds

You're right about that. The problem I have with it is people thinking Guinness is some kind of holy drink that must be respected above other beers. Also people missing out on equally good or better options as a result. Plus...it's annoying 😂
June 6, 2025 at 2:54 PM
The thing is...Guinness is just a pint of beer. That's it. Nobody's 'splitting the B' on a pint of Budvar. Or timing the pour of pour pint of John Smiths. Guinness isn't even the best pint of stout, there's dozens that are as good, or even better. And they just all get poured 'normally'
June 6, 2025 at 1:41 PM
I agree. You can pour a full pint and you still end up with a lovely drop with a deep, creamy head. The fetishization of Guinness is ridiculous. It's just a pint of beer.

I want to see them hire a new head of strategy from another competent team, and let them completely reshape how Ferrari's strategy decision making process operates.
