INJURY UPDATE: Turkey
* #17 Pedro Leon suffered a significant crash at Turn 12 after experiencing brake failure. He is out for at least a calendar year, and unlikely to return before 2028. David Covilha will step into the #17 for the remainder of the year.

INJURY UPDATES - Nurburgring round
* #61 Roger Lappin was involved in a heavy crash at Adenauer Forest on Lap 5. Lappin has been hospitalised in a serious condition. He is not in any grave danger but is out for at least the rest of the year and has no timetable for a racing return.

Harrison McCann:
* First driver to score 75 or more points in a four race span
* Claims the all-time race wins record (7)
* Ties the title lead having been 12th four races ago

INJURY UPDATES - Imola round
* #50 Aron Muradyan was involved in a two-car incident with Franck Laroche on Lap 39. Muradyan has been evaluated with a broken rib as a result of the collision, and will miss the next six races as a result, returning for the Antipodean legs.

INJURY UPDATES - Formula JANK race at Spa.
* #34 Jana Ehlert will miss the remaining European rounds, plus the Asian rounds, due to a broken elbow. She should be back in time for New Zealand and Australia. Breanna Wallace will replace Jana in the scholarship car.

Times are tough at Alpine. Alfonso Barbosa has had an awful season, scoring eight points in twelve races that weren't his Diriyah podium, while Alexandr Katulsky has now failed to score in six straight races. Katulsky, when asked about the form, reportedly burst into tears.

A lucky escape today as a massive accident at Eau Rouge on Lap 8 involving Bernard Wunsch and Ivan Kohut, which seemed potentially fatal at first, resulted only in relatively minor injuries for the pair. Wunsch (concussion) will miss Imola, while Kohut (wrist) is out until Turkey.

Aron Muradyan is on one of the worst streaks of form we've seen in Junior JANK. He was fifth in the title race after two rounds, and has scored just 10 points - all in one race - in the 11 rounds since, despite finishing seven of those races.

18 of the top 19 drivers in the 2026 Formula Jank standings have a podium at the halfway point of the season. The nineteenth... veteran Kiwi Brian Vicra, who has scored in nine of his ten finishes and sits tenth in the standings. A great effort from a driver many were tipping to regress.

Pedro Leon was asked about his first lap incident with Chad Wagner that ended both of their races. He had the following to say:

Dean Crossley is the first driver to win a race in either JANK category while being 33rd or lower in the title race.
