Through 8 Open Labs established across Europe, ForPeat will enhance monitoring and data collection, filling crucial gaps in the European flux network and advancing our understanding of the multifunctionality of peatland forests.

The ForPeat project addresses these challenges through a multi-actor approach that brings together researchers, land managers, and policymakers to improve the way we manage and restore forested peatlands.

As the coordinator of ForPeat, IDENER.AI leads the project’s management activities and develops decision-support systems and economic assessments to guide sustainable forest peatland management.
