WE'RE FINALLY FUCKING GETTING COMPENDIUM TWO
Finished a long-awaited reread of DC: The New Frontier, by Cooke, Stewart, & Fletcher. Easily my vote for the best book DC ever published, it juggles so many plot lines and somehow manages to successfully converge them all into the story of the birth of the Silver Age. Perfection from top to bottom.

On top of always enjoying Thompson’s writing and Sherman’s art (this has been a MASSIVELY great year for them), the lettering by Becca Carey was an absolute delight and made the reading experience even more enjoyable (shout out to the use of yeet)!
Also the stuff with “Amazon” was the KH2 bit lmao

Finally got around to reading Absolute Wonder Woman 1 today, and by god I KNEW it was going to be my favorite of the Absolute Trinity launches. Emotional, badass, filled with wonder and determination that reminds us why these characters are larger than life.

My LCS got in our orders of Batgirl #1, and aside from overall enjoying it (my one gripe is that it just throws us into the story with no preamble, but I guess that means we get the ball rolling much quicker!), I specifically LOVE how Mike Spicer colors the ninjas, it feels very Frank Miller to me.

I've been rereading Kirby's New Gods since it's been so long, and I forgot how bombastic everyone is, and I love Orion so much now after just 4 issues. So many attempts at these characters since mostly fail to capture this energy, which is why I'm so excited for the scale of the upcoming run.
