Discovery of today (and I will have to correct my book... Fortunately, it is now with the reviewers so there is still time) is that there were 81 translations of A Passage to India in 36 languages. Chinese wins hands down! #emforster

There were at least 400 translations of E. M. Forster's works - books and collections of short stories - between the Swedish translation of A Passage to India in 1925 and the Ukrainian translation of A Room with a View in 2025. More details in my book which has just been sent to the publisher.
