We can “lose” the phone and immerse a child in nature where they can voluntarily explore and bond with primary elements and exercise their senses. In time, they gravitate to something in this unpretentious, natural world and become a steward by choice. Curious, observant and kind builds character.

Gordon Lightfoot had an inaccurate lyric changed in the ballad for fear that it would be upsetting to the families of the 29 deceased sailors.
I was just a kid just north of Milw. with a SW band radio on that night listening to the Great Lakes WX summary. There was lots of chatter that night.
