**CANCELLED WALK**
Due to the heavy rain and high winds forecast by the Met Office, we have taken the decision to cancel the walk on Saturday 4 October and reschedule it for Saturday 11 October. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Last Saturday's walk took us from Langwathby through the Eden Valley to Armathwaite.

Rain clouds all around on the North Pennine hills but we stayed (mostly) dry!

We paused to admire Long Meg & Her Daughters, the mysterious & magnificent neolithic stone circle!

On Saturday will be walking from Hellifield to Settle via Scaleber Force - a stunning 40ft waterfall within the Scaleber Wood Nature Reserve

Last Sunday's walk, using the 830 @DalesBus to Hawes, followed the Pennine Way from Hawes over Great Shunner Fell to Muker in Swaledale.

The weather was much better than forecast and the views along the route were spectacular.

This Sunday we'll be leaving Ribblehead at 10:36 and taking the @DalesBus to Reeth, walking 10 miles along the River Swale to Muker before return on the bus!.

Saturday's 8 mile 'away day' walk is on the Ribble Valley Line, leaving Ramsgreave at 12.09 and walking to Whalley.

Saturday's 10.5 mile circular walk will leave from Kirkby Stephen at 9:34 and take in the Smardale Nature Reserve, just one of the highlights we'll see in the area around Kirkby Stephen.

Another fantastic Sunday outing using the DalesBus from Ribblehead. We alighted at Hawes & made our way back to Ribblehead via the Pennine Way with a detour to the remote peak of Dodd Fell.

Plenty of time to enjoy refreshments at the Station Inn before taking the train home !

The annual Settle Flowerpot Festival is always worth a visit and when combined with a Friends free Guided Walk it's a recipe for a great day out.

We took a meandering route through the streets to take in the many brilliant flowerpot creations finishing in the town centre.
