Basically, yes. But w rapid prototype mfg now available to anyone w a laptop, you get the hardest piece in the mail in two days for peanuts.

No. Search "FRT AR" in any media. Same idea as a Glock "switch"... minor design change to an easily-swapped component, a little tuning, and you have a functional full-auto weapon.
It's almost drop-in at this point. It's stupid easy.

You need maybe $200 worth of spare parts, the tools you already have in the average garage, and a $100 Forced Reset Trigger or Super Safety.
Anyone w a free afternoon can make a full-auto weapon nowadays, unfortunately.
