Opinion - Ted Cruz and birthright citizenship: Be careful what you wish for
It is beyond ironic that Cruz has sponsored legislation to exclude disfavored children from the Constitution, given that he is not a 14th Amendment citizen himself.

When I write my dystopian novel, I’ll have the government run by oligarchs forcibly expel the lowest-paid workers from the country, so the intellectuals and white-collar workers whose jobs are supplanted by AI tools will have somewhere to work.

Nah, that’s too far-fetched, right?

Good day to get together in Xenia, OH to let our opinions be known. Good crowd on all four corners of the intersection. Lots of tooting horns and waves of agreement, a few middle fingers.🇺🇸

Trump didn't win 50% of the popular vote.

The GOP has slim margins in both the House and Senate.

His approval ratings are tanking.

He does not have a mandate.

Do not let him gaslight you into believing he is all powerful.

He's not.

The attacks on DEI are a pretext for a much more radical agenda of reversing the gains of the civil rights movement, an objective the Trump administration is pursuing with zeal. A Great Resegregation. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

We can’t say this enough: When people in Trump‘s orbit deliberately lie about how our constitutional democracy works, they violate the oaths they take to uphold the law. & they violate the trust the American people place in them.

Dear Friends,

Yesterday, Americans from coast to coast took to the streets to protest Elon Musk’s presidency—despite the corporate media’s claims that there’s been “no resistance.”

The DEI caused the plane crash narrative is a distraction. The tariffs are a distraction. Whatever insane nonsense Trump spews that the media will chase like cats chasing a laser light is a distraction. The only story that counts right now is the wholesale hijacking of control of the US government.

Only in America where the 400 richest people are worth a record $5.4 trillion, each has at least $3.3 billion and a dozen have $100 billion-plus fortunes—and an electorate largely comprised of people struggling to make ends meet votes in this crowd who will make themselves even richer.
