seen this shit at so many jobs. They’re setting impossible expectations so they can 1) keep you grateful not to be fired, never empowered to negotiate for a raise or promotion 2) fire and replace you with someone younger they will pay even less. I pray you find something else soon 🙏

Agreed. I would say surgery for non-life-threatening conditions should always be reserved for patients old enough to understand their options and make educated decisions for themselves.

I’m anti-circumcision too, but framing the issue this way plays into a lot of transphobic arguments.

We are in a moment when our whole community is falsely being called predators and groomers as an excuse to take away our rights—can we please not feed into that by actually excusing/normalizing predatory behavior?

I very much believe there’s no ethical consumption under capitalism, but this isn’t even that anymore, now it’s just oligarchy. Most real capitalists recognize the importance of protections against monopoly, because they value competition.

Free time is not a luxury; it is a necessity for mental health. Parenthood should not usurp your entire identity, and it doesn’t have to. We have the ability to address this, and doing so doesn’t require anyone to shame or belittle childless people/families.
