I did figure it out in the end, I had the light on too low, but man figuring out how to make this work has been a pain in my butt.

And somehow not crash out constantly because my job is full of people who are feeling negative and slighted by the changes happening.(Which is totally valid)

Did I miss anything?

Figure out lighting. Finish a design so we can do the art trade, and finished trace soldering for the 5th time(Not joking on that one) and put the damn hdmi port back on the machine so I can fufill the promise I made to my sibling about getting them an xbox.

But good progress! Fingers crossed it works

So now i've pinpointed all the good spots and finished the grounding traces. Tomorrow or Sunday I will solder all the other ones, my neck hurts so im not gonna keep fighting it today

I took the suggestion of friends to use a multi-meter and I had to dig it out of the storage i. The basement and get it a new battery but it looks like where I had a couple of the wires orginate from for the repair wasn't a good spot.

Which is infinitely easier. On the bright side! I can Solder Electronics, on the not so bright side I am attempting a repair that is Way above my skill level.

Unfortunately I inherited my Dad's inability to be handy and now I'm looking at micro soldering copper trace repair and only after two weeks of swearing at teeny copper wires did I learn that you can just buy traces that glue down AND THEN add the wire to bridge the connection.
