I am looking for a CBT who specializes in insomnia and potentially a new psych if our call today doesn’t go well.

Getting sleep is so crucial to our bodies being able to function. If anyone on here has gone through something similar, I’d love to hear about your experiences. I feel alone right now!

I *did* get 8 hours of sleep last night (on and off) with the lorazepam! But it’s obviously not a long term solution.

I finally went to the ER yesterday where they gave me Ativan (or lorazepam) for a few nights’ worth to get me back on track while I wait for my psych to rework my meds with me. It’s been horrible and debilitating and I’m really hoping for better for myself in the coming weeks.

I lost my ability to do things for myself and think straight. I couldn’t work. I couldn’t shower without someone over because I was afraid I would fall and die in there.

My doctor wasn’t taking my requests to knock me out seriously. She prescribed trazodone and I was taking 100 mg, still unable to fall asleep. I took Benadryl, indica gummies, Unisom, melatonin, drank sleepytime tea, didn’t use my phone before bed. Nothing was working and it was driving me crazy.

The past week has been really difficult for me. A few weeks ago I had my depression and anxiety meds increased, which led to one of the worst weeks of my life where I didn’t sleep at all for 8 days straight. Never felt tired.

Calling on all Chicago bikers! A beloved member of the Chicago bike community (and a Femmes + Thems core organizer) took a spill at Critical Mass on Friday and was badly injured. Because both of their arms are broken, they are not able to do most self care tasks, let alone work.
