i will never be able to cast a vote for the hall of fame; but i’ve admired you for a while. thanks for listening, and really, your 7 are good, but i’m a student of the hall of fame maybe more than a student of the game, and the backlog is crushing for me as a fan, i can only imagine the players.

just remember that historically there are always 10 future hall of famers on every ballot. you did a commendable job, but a few more checks may have helped end the logjam.

if you vote for ten, you can do throwaway homer votes, but even then, i’d appreciate more giving the votes to the ten guys who will get elected.
