Too small a sample size, but Haaland is now back to par for Δ (G-xG) #FPL

Something’s changed for sure, Trent was narrow and mostly deep so far this season. Eyes firmly on him, but not in for me yet.

I’m no tactico, but this is clear to see: Trent under Slot is not the same as Trent under Klopp, even if xGI is high. He’s not even on all set pieces - think it’s Macca on the right side corners iirc.

Slot is a control merchant. ‘Releasing’ Trent won’t happen till we sign another controlling mid.

Sell for me next GW
In 9 games played together, Wissa has been the bigger goal threat. His total xG of 5.29 (0.58 xG/90) comfortably beats Mbuemo's 2.15 (0.24 xG/90). Wissa, who's on 6 goals, is a clinical and consistent finisher. Mbuemo, who has 5, is a scorer of great goals, having significantly outperformed his xG.

You’re really not getting much more for that £0.5. Virgil is also better for xMins and the odd goal.

Slot mentioned importance of set pieces recently, and Virgil so clearly has been the main man for LFC.

The best long term pick from Liverpool defense, given Trent has mainly been used as a provider of the first pass/outball so far

I also like a fit Neto through the Christmas fixtures.

More late goals this season than ever before and Neto is a threat against tired legs as a sub, if he doesn’t start the odd game.

Enzo was in my thoughts a few weeks back, but Maresca said at the time he could only fit Palmer or Enzo cause both like to dominate the central areas. Looks like he’s found a way to fit both in. He’s also been flexible with using players in different positions vs how he originally said he saw them

Our longest serving player in the current squad, lest we forget.

All goals on the counter attack?

Wissa does more damage than Mbuemo.

You have the be there and ready to capitalize anytime City go through a dip. We did it in 2019, ran away with it by Christmas. We have an opportunity to do it again this season.

It’s the only way to beat City in the league.

Is anybody from United an FPL asset apart from Mazraoui? Amad for the perf/pound?

All data sourced from the FPL website, open to fact checks. Excited to continue tracking Mbuemo over the season, especially if Salah's off 👀

Mbuemo’s strength lies in creativity. He leads Wissa on xA with 2.07 (0.23 xA/90) compared to 0.33 (0.04 xA/90). While Mbuemo is the playmaker, Wissa’s instinct for finishing and ability to convert chances make him the more reliable goalscorer.

Without Wissa, Mbuemo is Brentford’s key man. But when fit, Wissa has been talismanic so far, particularly at home, with an xGI/90 of 1.11 and xG/90 of 1.03.

With Wissa out, Mbuemo stepped up big time. In those 3 games, he scored 1 in each, with a total xG of 1.73 (0.58 xG/90). The xG values for his goals (0.64, 0.25, 0.84) show he can deliver whether the chance is big or small, so he's a hard hold, but IF you HAD to pick 1, stats point to Wissa.

They're rubbish in away games, but.. but. At home. To Leicester.

It might be time to blow my Wissa baby, here we go 🎵🔥
