As a technical matter there is no such thing as an “alcoholic personality”. It is not a recognized personality type. Actual alcoholics can come from any personality type. Trump is a strange and troubled person and perhaps has a personality disorder of some type.

Exactly
When this administration signals that our alliances are expendable and that our security commitments are conditional on flattery or financial tribute, it is not just rewriting policy. It is rewriting the character of the United States.

Is Van Epps now a “made man” in the Republican grift mob? Not required to do much except salute when appropriate?

Which future headline would be most surprising to you?

Van Epps breaks with MAGA, puts district first

Van Epps now a multimillionaire for no apparent reason

It will be interesting to see how much money the Republicans had to spend in order to keep this seat and who were the main contributors. Who will Van Epps be beholden to?

Imagine. Whoever wins will have to run again a year from now. Can Republicans sustain the no town hall strategy?

It really is a shame that the “Make America Healthy Again” movement has tied itself to the science denying Trumpers. We need to rethink our diet and reduce the processed foods (particularly sugar and seed oils and crap like high fructose corn syrup)

Exactly correct. America can’t continue to subsidize these employers
One significant way to fix the federal deficit? Dramatically raise the minimum wage across our country. It will cause an increase in tax collections, much less people on federal assistance, and health outcomes will improve causing less reliance on federal health programs.

I always find it interesting how the story changes when a lawyer gets to court. They can say anything they want outside of court without accountability but the rules are vastly different in court where you can get seriously penalized for lying.

Marsha Blackburn first came to be noticed for her tea party performances in opposition to a State Income Tax. She now supports the most regressive tax, the Trump tariffs. Tax breaks for her wealthy friends and tax hikes on consumers of necessary imports

Affordability: it is unconscionable that in order to get significant education after high school you must be wealthy or go into debt with a bank loan which will encumber your future earnings for many years. Republicans did that to keep people from advancing
