I do art & writing & dreamwork & tarot & shamanism. I think I might be retired because I don't have a job. 🤷 I used to work as a dev & a visual artist before that. I admire reason, but I'm not a rationalist nor materialist. Remedios Varo is my hero!
WTAF? What beelzebub-inspired journalistic contortions do you have to reach in order to write something as inane as "idea machine" as if it meant anything? Nobody is running out of ideas, we lack the ability to focus on the ones that provide broad benefits as opposed to tech-bro piles of greediness.

Exactly!

You might enjoy "The Moment of Astrology." He delves into the issues in a purely astrological way. I think he starts with the chart published as an example of astrology's failures by the skeptics. GC interprets the chart masterfully and shows how it demonstrate the misguided skeptic goals.

… because it speaks to us. Language, poetry isn't logical, art is certainly not logical. Astrology is about meaning not physics.

Frankly, I was a fan of Geoffrey Cornelius' "Moment of Astrology" counter and thought this science fetish by some was a major waste of time. We're in a better place now.

… so dishonest. To me Dean's refusal back then to reveal his stance was clearly a strike against his works, which wasted a lot of astrologer effort trying to conform to a cartoon version of the scientific method where the skeptic got to decide the truth of things. Dumb. We mostly follow astrology…

… not the ones commonly used by astrologers.

There was also Dean's controversial "Recent Advances in Natal Astrology" which set the cat among the chickens! I lost friends arguing that this was a deliberate effort by skeptics to harm astrology. They couldn't accept that so many skeptics were …

A lot of it was founded in statistician Gauquelin's work, testing thousands of prominent nativities, which showed effects, but …

Oh, now I have to search long-term memory!

30+ years ago I ran an astrology theory email list that lasted for about a decade and words like "theory" and "proof" and "fact" were constant issues, with the "scientific astrologers" constantly claiming that it was just that we needed more evidence and …

We are long past the days when astrologers should defer to astronomical ideas. ~40 years ago we devoted a LOT of misguided effort to try to conform to scientific modes. It was not productive and it harmed astrology a great deal, which led to the "reformation" of reintroducing traditional approaches.

Yeah, I think you're on to something. I started to suspect that he was looking at his mortality a few months ago when he started talking about how he thought he wasn't getting into heaven. Very uncharacteristic for someone who praises himself constantly.

I suspect some doctor told him something. 🧐

And here is an experimental attempt at showing transits as they move line by line. This excludes the Moon since it moves so quickly. I'm very busy with other things right now, but I hope to make this into a more useful image as my understanding improves, so comments are welcome.

Who?

Hmmm… a "political columnist" …yeah, the people who are known for leading the country to the best possible world. 🙄

Are people still taking click-bait grifters seriously?

"Entitled" is dumb. The real question: is the leading candidate *willing* to put up with the BS & attacks from idiots?

Marc Benioff owns Time and is a big AI booster. His company Salesforce has been trying hard to sell AI "agents" to their customers for years now. I suspect he is putting his thumb on the scale here. 🤷

Not trying to rain on your parade, my ♄ is suspicious of ♒️! 😁

That's hilarious! Guy who dresses like he was an extra from Forbidden Planet, and thinks that his folded stainless steel breadbox Cybertruck is actually a great looking car compared to a century of car design, has opinions about culture, humor and design!

Imagine!

I know what you mean, at a certain point I felt like I "wasted" many years.
But you have to reach a point where you can do it. It isn't like we were all taught these things as toddlers and don't also have stuff to clear up.
So, I think you've done fine, we all have. Not everybody makes it this far.

Wait! Magas shop at Costco? Did they hear about the diversity work and that they pay people better than the other big stores? I thought the primary desire for Maga was that other people should suffer, as much as possible, and the less white/male someone is, the more Maga wants to hurt them?

🧐🤨🙄

… was a birthday present for herself and that Temu told her it was delivered, all sales final, FY. She figured out that it was addressed to the wrong block number and came to ask, I guess she thought she'd need some muscle!? 😁

So, happy ending. Can't believe Temu is still in business! Not to me! 🧐💩

… This seemed dumb. I set it by the door expecting a visit. Sure enough, an hour later a woman and her male companion knock on the door. I open it, say "Ahhah!" and hand her the package.

She's almost in tears, thanks me profusely. I tell her that Temu told me to keep it. She related that this …
