I'm vibe-coding a video game using the lovely odyc.dev framework (although I modified it to be able to render images in tiles).

ChatGPT for assets and Cursor for shaders.
The game will look scrappy and a bit cringe but at least I got to have something working in a few hours so I'm pretty happy

A while ago I saw this book recommended in a post here on bluesky, so I bought it. Thank you random skeeter! It was a great recommendation.

There's certainly something interesting in letting an LLM bring up a topic and evolve it. I don't really care about all the text it generated (too much, too boilerplate-ish), but the high-level topics that come up. This might be the closest to tapping into the collective unconscious we can get.

Material Design popularized this notion that elements in a UI should follow the rules of "light and shadow" of the real world.

However, that design just didn't age well... and if you think about it, how common is it to see elements just "floating in space" in the real world?
It's just not natural..
