I've been lucky to have several poems and a short interview in this lovely magazine, and it's always been a great experience. Check it out and don't hesitate to submit some work if you think it would be a good fit.

We are still seeking submissions, and are desperately low! Please send!

Happy that my poem "Day Break" is in Anacapa Review, thanks to guest editor Santa Barbara Poet Laureate @gyatchisin.bsky.social. I learned of the mag when Ottawa poet friends David O'Meara & Katherine Leyton had work in the prior issue so I took the chance to submit. anacapareview.com/frances-boyle/

Mrs. Miller's typing class back in high school, plus years of office work, cemented the 10-finger approach for me.

I do a lot of texting but far prefer communicating where I can type with 10 finger instead of one thumb -- email or DMs on socials.

Yes, it was a huge shock to the community. Juniper was a wonderful Canadian magazine, and Lisa a supportive editor and lovely person.

I got mine! Such a cool idea.

@pinholepoetry.bsky.social makes gorgeous chapbooks! If you have something to send them, now's the time!
pinholepoetry.bsky.social
Pinhole Poetry runs a chapbook contest every year instead of the standard submission process. This year, our search runs from Aug 1 - Aug 31 2025. We are planning to publish nine titles (3 in Fall ’25, 3 in Spring ’26 & 3 in Summer ’26). Full guidelines found at:
pinholepoetry.ca/chapbook-contest/
francesboyle19.bsky.social
Clarification please -- one part of the guidelines says poems may be new or previously published but a later bit says only unpublished. Which is correct?

Just finished Zilla Jones's stunning novel The World So Wide. I can't say enough good things about it. Fascinating immersion in the world of opera and political upheaval in Grenada, a nail-biting plot, and a fierce, flawed and beautifully nuanced main character, Felicity Alexander. A fantastic read!

Thanks so much to @redogrereview.bsky.social for replaying my Buffyverse poem from last fall. (And for choosing to publish it in the first place!)
