Definitely agree about in-person encounters. Some of the scimitar-horned oryx on our south Texas ranch. They find us almost as fascinating as we find them (though in their case it's probably because they're prey animals).

I am tempted by dental irrealism. It would be a lot cheaper and a lot less painful. (I have a dentist's appt today so this is particularly salient.)
