In my opinion one of the toughest aspects of PHPs is the heterogeneity between states- some state PHPs are regarded as more “physician-friendly” than others. A few states (eg NE, WI) don’t even have a PHP at all.
(5/5) PHPs must balance saving lives and protecting public safety. Reform advocates urge updated practices and increased accessibility.
