We are talking Trump here though. He could declare a national emergency or make a declaration that the elections are cancelled and order armed forces to disrupt elections in any place that ignores him.

It’s not about ruling the world. It is about countries showing solidarity against those who do not respect a country’s right to sovereignty. And right now, Trump is using that historical power for nefarious purposes.

The rule of law and science don’t fall into global neoliberal capitalism. And I say NATO because as a European, unfortunately the world is currently set up around the concept of Pax Americana and Putin needs the US to put him back in his box. Which clearly Trump cannot/ will not do.

Because he’s a mobster, a sadist and a psychopath. And these people operate in a world where they can act out their worst impulses and get away with it. Also, it was a ‘honey trap’ for kompromat- they will have wanted the epitome of compromising material. Sex alone isn’t enough, even with kids.

Right before Trump looks like the land of milk and honey right now. Certainly for those of us in Europe who face the threat of Russia without the support of a US-backed NATO. Not to mention how terrifying parts of the US look right now, with ICE on the streets.
