"Well they didnt want AEW getting him!" is probably a thing but it wouldn't affect WWE at all if he went to AEW. He would have joined LFI/Don Callis Family and been a very good wrestler, but not a world champion.

Santos hasnt been on TV since may(!!!) so it is a genuine shock that WWE didnt just let him go. Hes very good, but it never seemed WWE thought highly of him after his NXT callup. Compare that to Kross who was actively being pushed/cheered when they let him go..its interesting.

What i dont understand is why she cant be transparent here. Both sides won - AEW built up new women as stars after she left, and shes living her dream. Why pretend that WWE wasn't an inevitability? The literal second her contract expired she was on NXT.
