Hours of wondering why my the 'preview object' in my item placement system was very bad at detecting interfering objects. It turned out I was using the wrong type of collision shape all along 🤦‍♂️Fixed in three clicks.

Still trying to wrap my head around this item-picking-up-and-placing thing. I got the little ghost object to detect other objects and turn red to indicate you can't place the item there. And it almost works. But why do things always ALMOST work? 😭

immersive sims are some of my favourite games. Especially those with wonky, janky physics that are often more amusing than the game itself. I would love to make a game of this style one day, though it's really challenging to get it to feel right.

Experimeting a little with 3D in Godot. Lots to learn still. Here's just a little 3rd person controller. It has a basic node-based state machine and a camera that follows around and collides with objects so it doesn't get stuck inside.

I gave myself the challenge to make a game in LÖVE over the weekend. I ended up going a little bit over the deadline because I didn't find music for it until Monday morning, but I still consider it a success. This is ASTRO BURST, a basic vertical space shooter game.

Small weekend project. A very simple asteroid buster game. The main gameplay is almost finished. You can move around, shoot asteroids and power up. I have in mind a rogue-like aspect where you exchange your points for upgrades or to unlock said powerups. Will it be too ambitious? #gamedev #indiedev
