Really excited to share my recent work on methodology of analysing academic publishing from a world-system perspective!

On Thursday at 14:00 CET we will have another seminar! Franek will talk about „Developing Oligopolies Through Hegemonic Cycles” - so how can we apply methods developed by Wallerstein and Arrighi to analyse the rise of the oligopoly of academic publishers described by @lariviev.bsky.social ?

l week I was on my first Sociological Association of Ireland Conference in Cork (sociologyireland.bsky.socia). I presented on conflicting traditions of writting about centers and peripheires of HE and learn about many new fascinating research. Thanks for all participants!
